Kerr

A physically based rotating black hole, ray-traced in the browser: null geodesics integrated through the Kerr metric in a WebGPU compute shader.

RK4 in Kerr-Schild coordinates, running in f32 on the GPU and checked against an f64 reference that mirrors the shader line for line. The image accumulates one jittered sample per pixel per pass while the camera holds still, split into bands so a slow GPU never freezes the tab. Spin, disk size and thickness, Doppler beaming and exposure are all live controls.

Needs Chrome or Edge with WebGPU.
